Crazy

Tomorrow is my baby sister's birthday.  Many of you know her as Momofthecrazies in my comments.  I like to call her crazy for short.

I was thinking of doing a touching tribute to her.  One where I listed how great she is, how blessed I am to have her as a sister, how she is my rock in the midst of the craziness that is mothering toddlers, basically where I told the world how wonderful she is.

But what's the fun in that?

Instead I am going to tell you a little story.

About a year and a half ago we got sucked in the vortex that is the blogging world.  We only read them, but whenever we encountered a good one we'd let send each other an email with a link encouraging them to check it out.

When I started this blog last September I didn't really tell anyone.  I just started.  A few days later I sent my sister an e-mail telling her  to check this one out.  So she did.  She had read it for a few days and then she read this post.

She realized she had read this list before.  It was in an email I had sent her.  She called me all aflutter that I was being plagiarized.  She left me a message to call her back right away.

It took a few more minutes for the light to come on.

So, when people ask me if I am worried that my real identity will be found out, I must confess, that if my own sister couldn't figure it out, I'm probably safe.

Although after sharing that story with the internet, safe may be relative.  Beware the wrath of crazy.

Love ya, little sis.  Happy Birthday.

Thanks. I think. I thought about starting my own blog dedicated to telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about the Happy Geek, but I don't think the world is ready for that yet!

Love ya too.

Both posts - very funny! Happy birthday, momofthecrazies.

You know, most of my friends and relatives know that I blog (the Husband informs - isn't that nice of him), but only four or five of them actually read it.

I sometimes worry about my anonymity, but I suspect that is because the China-adoption community is still relatively small. How many China-adoptive families do you know? With only one child? Who is four-and-a-half? And lives in Maryland? It kind of narrows things down a bit. I think, at most, there are 30 to 40 that meet those criteria. Now add the fact that we hang out with lots of twins. Yeah, that narrows it down to... us.

Yeah, I definitely think you guys are a little nutso. But it's okay, we're all a little nutso sometimes....isn't that a song or something?

Happy Birthday Crazy.

I'm sorry to call you crazy, but the only other option was to say "happy birthday to happy geek's little sister" and, as much as I love to be wordy, it just wasn't working for me...so, in the most sincere way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Have a Happy Birthday 'momo'! You could easily do a blog if you chose, but I love reading your witty responses on your sis's.

Crazy... I love you just the way you are... We can have our own club called HG's truth telling... but then knowing her, she'd figure it out before we even knew what we were doing!

Happy Birthday!

Please forgive me that i'm late with my wishes, and that you didn't even get a card this year. It's all b/c of what HG said about rec'ing cards. i know that you are different than her, but i'm trying to make this excuse work for me.
i too, love reading your comments on your sister's blog.
