Random Thoughts While Dusting My Blinds

In a few years Spud and Sprout will be old enough to do this.

Bwha ha ha sometimes I crack myself up.

Is that a lace pattern on the back of the Swiffer duster? Great, now even my cleaning supplies are more stylish than me.

Oh good, I was hoping both of my kids would want to stand on the chair with me while I dust. Welcome. Make yourselves comfy.

No really Spud, I love it when you stand on my foot. Nothing like 40 pounds of dead weight while balancing on one leg (because Sprout is standing where the other foot should be) to made dusting even more pleasurable than it already is.

They make self-cleaning ovens, I could make a mint selling self-cleaning blinds.

Grrrrrr

"Because a Thankful Heart is a Happy Heart"

Thank-you Lord for a house that has windows, blinds to cover the windows and the time and ability to clean these blinds.

Seriously, lace on a Swiffer? Someone has too much time on their hands. Wonder if they want to do my blinds next time?

Hmm... I'm so glad that you are going to develop helpful men when they do all your dusting!

This totally cracks me up. I have the same stream of conciousness thing going on all day long.

Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone in my hatred of the banana !

You have just made me smile. The thought of payback to my toddler - now THAT's a worthy revelation! :)

Never discourage young helpers! i can vouch that the younger you start them the more it becomes a natural part of life.
Take their 'help' at this age and pretend that it's fun b/c by age 5 or 6 they will have figured out that it's 'work' and the whining will begin.
Happy mom of Knittin'Chick.

You are SO funny! I HATE blinds. Refuse to have them in my house, for that very reason....you have to CLEAN them. And, as you know from my blog, cleaning is not exactly a high priority for me. Never have the time, because I'm over here reading you! :)

lol.. that's funny that you used to live in Fox Creek - it's a small world I suppose.. my husband worked out there for most of last year and so me and the kids would go and visit (hence hotelling it).. it's kinda too bad that they sold their famous landmark! (oil rig)

I had a similar situation with my 2 year old son this morning while trying to make cookies. He has fallen in love with the stand mixer. I put it in the closet to keep him from plugging it in, turning it on, and breaking his fingers in the beaters, and he slid it back out to give it a hug and try and watch it go "round and round"
Poor kid.
My 7 year old son loves to clean. He has 3 of his own swiffers. He bought them with his own birthday money.
Get your kids their own swiffers. You never know what might happen.
