And Now I Shower at Midnight

The other day I snuck to the shower while the boys were playing nicely. Of course, that meant that they had to hunt me down as quickly as possible.

Sprout came in and we had the following conversation.

Sprout: Whatcha doing mommy?

Turns out, my first grade teacher was wrong. There ARE stupid questions.

HG: What does it look like I am doing?

Sprout: You is taking a shower.

HG: Yes, now go play.

Sprout: Can I watch ya?

HG: NO.

Sprout: Do you like your shower?

HG: I did.

It is at this point that I realize that my discipline options are currently limited, seeing as how I am n*aked and now have shampoo in my eyes. I just begin to hope that he will soon lose interest in talking to me.

Because I like to dream big.

Sprout: Do you pee in the shower?

HG: NO!!

Sprout. I do.

At this point I rinse, deal with my son and vow to wear flip flops while showering until he moves out.

And - yet again - this is why I am glad I have a girl. Boys are lovely, of course, especially yours (and my nephews). But girls tend to avoid doing things like peeing in the shower. I mean, I hope they do...

My kids pee in the shower every day. I'm not even affected by it anymore, and that is saying something. It was worse when they would deliberately pee in the bathwater during hair rinsing. Boys are gross, seriously.

LOL! LOL! LOL! Glad to know that someone else on this planet can not have a shower in peace. And that other people's kids pee in the shower, even when I tell them NOT to!

I so know what you are talking about! I went to a spa party not too long ago where they tried to sell me all this nice bath stuff. It wasn't hard to say "no" since I haven't even been able to pee by myself in years!

Ya gotta admit, peeing in the shower trumps peeing on the floor. Your life is definitely on an upward swing.
