Is there any phrase more delightful than that? It carries with it the promise of spring and beyond spring, that queen of everything, summer.
The return of green grass.
The end of the snow.
Capris.
Flip-flops.
Wading pools.
Picnics in the park.
Bike riding.
Flowers.
Bubbles on the deck.
Popsicles.
Little boys in ball caps.
Hopscotch.

Freshly cut grass.
Road trips.

Hamburgers on the grill.
Dandelion chains.
I have come to the conclusion that summer is even sweeter when you've made it through winter.

It almost makes winter worthwhile.
Almost.

I'm loving the longer days! Bring on spring (after Roll Up the Rim of course!)
Bring on the pollen! Bring on the Bradford pear blossom stink! Bring on the rain!
Oh... wait... was I not supposed to say all of that?
(And do you know that spring is actually my second favorite season? I am so obnoxious.)
Last week, when I was at my alma mater working the Compassion table, I was set up in front of some two-story windows and the sun was streaming in. And I got WARM! I was so happy to see that the sun's rays are gaining strength again. They aren't just the anemic things produced in winter.
Spring is still too far away for my taste, but you're right -- it's coming.
I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED to have Spring coming! I even bought some sleeveless shirts last week! WOOO HOOOOOOO!
I'll be soooo glad to say good-bye to icy roads and hello to light weight jackets.... even fleece hoodies.
The longer days are making such a difference for me. It feels like almost an hour's worth of difference even though it isn't probably quite there.
Anyone who doesn't absolutely adore spring probably does feel like Nanook of the North where we live.
From your lips to God's ears!
Here here!!!! :)
Huzzah!!!!!!
But "Tim Horton's Ice Caps"???? What are those???
Lovely things to imagine this time of year, HG!
