You know You Might be a People Pleaser When...

Way Cooler has often said that I am a people pleaser. I wasn't sure I agreed with him but I didn't want to hurt his feelings so I said nothing.

I finally realized what he was talking about when I was at the doctor's office and asked to provide a sample that involves a cup and a moist towelette.

The nurse had indicated how much she wanted but my output was sorely lacking.

I seriously contemplated adding some water from the tap so that she wouldn't be upset with me.

Gotta hate it when your husband is right.

i think that is funny. Maybe b/c i could identify w. thinking of doing the same thing in the same situation. My conclusion is you are NOT a people pleaser if you resisted the 'urge' to add tap water to come up to the level of their measurements.
i think that People Pleasing may take a life time to overcome. i am twice your age.

I agree Char! TMI. Maybe you should have just ran the water for inspiration. Trust me, it works on a busy hiking path by a waterfall if you didn't use the outhouse beforehand.

Thankfully I obeyed my mother's voice in my head and used the 'facilities' just in case.

Well at least you didn't ask Spud to add to your "collection" to fill up to the appropriate line!

This was so funny! I'm a total people-please too, so I get where your coming from.

BTW, I will NOT be getting a cat. I was only joking - I'm not a cat fan, although Caroline love to have one. Just another cruel irony of parenting that her favorite animal kind of gives me the creeps.
