A Brief moment of Patriotism

I was fully planning to post last night.

But then we watched the closing ceremonies.

And between laughing till I cried, (really, flying moose?) and rolling my eyes at Way Cooler's running commentary*, there really was no time.

But let me say this,

Canada Rocks.

Thanks for the party Vancouver.

*Way Cooler and I sit at VERY different points on the political spectrum. He loves nothing more than to try and push my buttons. However, we are agreed on one thing. Stephan Harper is really the world's largest Ken doll.

Canada rocks b/c:
*we got lots of gold medals
*we won the hockey game
*everyone wore their patriotic mittens and colours and toques (for your american friends)
*finally we were excited about our amazing country that we usually seem to take for granted

And Canada rocks b/c I live right by the mountains and got to see the sun rising this morning on the way home from the gym when the mountains were delightfully beautiful with new snow and looked pink from the sun!

Say what you want about our PM but don't you just love him to death. Papa does.

I love our country, or at least what most Canadians believe we represent.

Red and White, baby, Red and White!!

P.S. Wish I could have heard the commentary. :)
